Our Designers

Every FieldCandy tent is a unique and rare piece of practical outdoor art, many are now shown in galleries around the world, sold at charity auctions and held in private art collections.

Some are Limited Editions, and all are printed and manufactured to the highest possible quality in England.

All artists, designers and photographers invited to design our outstanding range of tents are carefully chosen by FieldCandy for their dedication to their respective art forms and unique points of view, and currently include those listed below.

  1. Terry Pastor

    Terry Pastor is best known for his iconic album artwork for David Bowie's Hunky Dory & Ziggy Stardust. His credits include album covers for the Beach Boys, Alex Harvey, The Sweet and Carl Palmer. Terry also designs book covers for best-selling authors such as Arthur C Clark, Jeffrey Archer, Len Deighton and Michael Crichton. Terry's accolades include two prestigious Art Director of America awards.

  2. Tord Boontje

    Tord was born in Enschede, Netherlands. In 2002 he became known for his Garland Light for Habitat, then the ‘Blossom Chandelier’ for Swarovski, followed by a project with Target on USA TV in his own advert surrounded by animated animals. Tord has worked with Yamaha, HP, Alexander McQueen, Nanimarquina, & Artecnica, exhibited in the V&A Museum, MoMA, Copper-Hewitt in New York and Tate Modern in London and in 2009 became Professor and Head of Design Products at the Royal College of Art, London.

  3. Basso & Brooke

    Bruno Basso & Christopher Brooke are the pioneers of the digital print in fashion. Earning them the Fashion Fringe Award, the one to watch in ‘Vogue List’, and ‘Best New Designers’ at Elle Style Awards. Basso & Brooke have collaborated with high profile brands such as Coca-Cola, Converse, Swarovski, L’Oreal Paris, Red Bull, Saint Martins Lane Hotel, Dorchester Collection, Harrods, and Linda Farrow.

  4. Claudia Hahn

    A Freelance illustrator & wildlife artist, Claudia studied graphic design & illustration in Freiburg, Germany. Her love for details and vibrant choice of colour combinations are trademarks of her pictures. After meeting the love of her life and following him back to England she still can’t tell the difference between Earl Grey and English Breakfast tea! Claudia has works published in magazines & children's books, has been commissioned for internet & music industry and sold her art around the word. In 2012 Claudia was a runner up in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year.

  5. Jonathan Zawada

    Jonathan Zawada is a graphic designer and artist who works across the music, publishing and fashion industries from his home in Sydney, Australia. Jonathan has become best known for his varied and multi-media approach to the discipline of design, his work doesn’t look like it came from just one person. He’s done everything from fabric prints to websites, for clients such as Coca Cola and PlayStation 3.

  6. Philip Gatward

    Philip Gatward works as a successful photographer. Clients include Nike, Conde Nast, Boosey & Hawkes, Coca-Cola, Heineken, V&A, Design Council, Heals, Wrangler and Sky. Philip work also includes, personal series of both greyhounds and parakeets shot as if they were formal human portraits. Set against simple grey backgrounds, the result is both strikingly sleek and endlessly amusing.

  7. Gellan Watt

    Gellan Watt is a concept creative now running one of the UK's largest and most successful integrated agency groups, Gellan is an Chartered Designer and award-winning ideas led Creative Director.

  8. Flavio Melchiorre

    Flavio Melchiorre is an italian artist, award-winning designer, illustrator, painter and founder of Idro51 Creative Design Studio.  He developed his distinctive personal "Hypnotic" style combining free-hand drawings with chromatic and iconographic effects, reaching unique results. Some of his clients include: Art-shirt, Bodino, Citroën, Citizen Records, Future Publishing, Grove, Taschen, Maibaic.

  9. TEE LEE

    TeeLee is a playful fusion of pattern, color and design by artist Tracy Lee
    McGuinness and designer, Mary Ellen Putignano. Tracy is a visual storyteller,
    her art is filled with worlds of characters, textures and patterns.
    Mary Ellen has a passion for observing the world around her and a desire to make everyday life fun, engaging and filled with beauty. TeeLee is eye candy for the soul.

  10. Jackie Spurrier

    Jackie is from the English West Country, who adores walking in the countryside and talking to cows.  A conversation with a cow led to her first cow portrait ten years ago and Jackie has been a prolific cow painter ever since. She loves camping with her young family, playing netball, going to the theatre, singing and crime drama, although not all at the same time.

  11. Racket

    Racket is Rachel Peachey and Paul Mosig. We collaborate together as artists and graphic designers in the wilds of the Blue Mountains, Australia,running the gamut from photomedia, collage, video, textiles and installation to website and book design. Rooted in an exploration of human / environment relationships both real and imagined.

  12. Si Maclennan

    Si Maclennan is award winning independent multi-disciplinary designer working out of Cape Town, South Africa. Si primarily works in digital media, using most any available technology to produce bright abstract compositions, geometric ramblings and computer generated illustration and typography.

  13. Andy Cahill

    Andy left Salisbury College of Art in the early eighties and soon after started his own photographic studio called Photoworks. Right from an early age Andy knew he was going to be a photographer - while his mates were busy playing football or watching Top of the Pops, Andy was experimenting with cameras and building his own dark room. 

  14. Julia & Maria

    Julia Jakovleva & Maria Dementieva from Estonia are enthusiastic creatives  who never miss an opportunity to take part in exciting art projects. Julia & Maria work in the video game industry as 3d artists, their art and creativity is aimed to bring a happiness and brights colors to the world!  Be Happy!  Be with us!

  15. Luke Bonner

    Luke is an award-winning Art Director working in advertising and branding. He currently delivers his craft at one of the highest rated independent agencies in the UK. Now a retired musician, Luke spends his spare time 'caring for curiosity' for many years, as a writer, guerilla dancer and through the medium of viewing Australian soaps.

  16. Emma Bennett

    Emma is a keen author as well as an illustrator. Her book Sidney and his Shadow was highly commended in the Macmillan Prize 2011. The illustrations have also been featured in DigitalArts magazine. She is currently working on her first book that she will both write and illustrate. Emma is never known to refuse a Jaffa cake!

  17. Alex Kruglov

    Alex Kruglov was born in the Soviet Union and now lives and works from Estonia, as a leading artist creating 3D computer games. His clients include major corporations gaming industry. As a versatile artist, in addition to 3D graphics, Alex is engaged in classical painting, animation, as well as trying his hand in industrial design.

    My name is Tomi from Slovenia. I live in Barcelona and my life is committed to skateboarding, music and illustration!I I feel like art is something you have to express your feelings, not to compete with other people, cause,..the world of competition brought us to a bad place, when values are gone. So, I don’t want me or my work to be a part of it.

  19. Emma Atkinson

    Emma was born in the middle of England and ever since she can remember she has been writing stories which she also illustrates and paints. Emma graduated with a degree in Illustration and her dream is to become a successful children’s book illustrator. She loves all types of illustration and has always loved camping! 

  20. Dreams of Grandeur

    This UK-based artist uses the female portrait as a focal point, often to convey ideas of love and loss, combined with a natural sprawling element that consumes both emotions. The name “Dreams of Grandeur’ comes from the desire to push his work forward while at the same time remembering that nothing comes without hard work.

  21. Kitty Finegan

    Kitty Finegan is an Artist & Graphic Designer based in Brighton U.K. Her artistic intention is to simply delight viewers with imagery of female beauty and glamour, with an emphasis on facial expressions and a well-chosen colour scheme. Clients include Actress Esther Williams, The Sunday Times, Helen Rochfort Ltd and Men’s Health Magazine. Kitty hopes to return in the next life as a Las Vegas Showgirl.

  22. Jack Maxwell

    Jack was born and raised in the idyllic countryside of the English West Country. Since then he’s swapped the country life for the hustle and bustle of East London. He now works at a interactive design studio as a graphic designer as well as undertaking his own personal projects.

  23. Emily Golden Twomey

    Emily works as a freelance children's book illustrator. Her children's book 'The Loon on the Moon' was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal for Illustration. Emily loves working with colour and detail, and is inspired by magical children's tales and strange creatures. In between illustrating Emily loves to bake, drink tea and eat Marmite sandwiches.

  24. James Marriott

    James is a multi-discipline graphic designer, which means he’s pretty good at everything you throw at him. He’s got an unquenchable curiosity and is interested in everything and anything, especially realising good creative ideas. Based in the South-West of England, James is a keen cyclist and loves having adventures. He also likes travel, books and box sets.

  25. Dazeray

    ‘Dazeray’ is the combination of two of the UK's hottest emerging illustrators.
    The successful double act have had exhibitions, posters and murals released up and down the UK and intending to follow their recent exhibition, with a bigger and bolder gallery in London during 2012. With screen prints, t-shirts, zines and more, ‘Dazeray’ are bound to make you smile and maybe even blow your mind!

  26. Joanna Boyle

    Joanna is a freelance illustrator. Her passion for illustration grew out of a long-time preoccupation with drawing weird characters and making up stories for them. She renders her images using a combination of traditional hand methods and digital.

  27. Mark Grant

    Mark is a creative designer, whose projects have included advertising campaigns, corporate literature, exhibitions and branding, working closely with the private and public sector. Embracing his philanthropic side, Mark also runs a not-for-profit organisation 'Just Us Collective' to assist students in showcasing their work to prospective employers both online and via exhibitions.

  28. John Wilhelm

    John's love for illustrating started in his early teens when he would sketch the super cars of the day. John has been a hugely sucessful artist and illustrator for over twenty years and works from his studio and gallery in Hastings Old Town, UK.
